St. James Lutheran Church is a member of the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod. We also have a sister congregation, St. Paul's Lutheran Church  in New Miner, WI which is located about 20 miles north of St. James. At both places, we work on connecting both our members and our guests to the True God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Our mission statement is the basis for everything that we do here: "Reach up, reach out and reach in with the Lord." We reach up to God, we reach out to serve the needs of others and we reach in to minister to the people who God has blessed here. At St. James and St. Paul's, we are all about building each other up in Christ with the gospel message. You will find both places to be very much like a family - and we are always willing to welcome new members to the family!

I ask you now to look around and find out everything you want to know about St. James and St. Paul's.   Please click on the info center on the top more information regarding worship, Bible study, and others.

In Service to the Lord,

Pastor Roger A. Erdman

Please take note our services at 10:30 AM each Sunday are broadcast on 92.9 and AM 1270 WRJC out of Mauston, WI.

Confirmation Class

The next Confirmation classes are Saturday, March 6, at St. James with the classes beginning at 9:00 a.m. These classes are in person or if you are not able to attend, the 7th and 8th grade class will be livestreamed and posted on St. James's website Facebook location.

The class scheduled for Saturday, March 20 is rescheduled for Saturday, March 27. As we go into the spring months there may be other class sessions that need to juggled.

Sunday School

Sunday School is going to be paused for the remainder of the school year. Our hope is that come fall people will be more comfortable sending their kids and we can get back on track with a good group of God’s children.

New Chancel

Our New & Refurbished Liturgical Furniture

The major liturgical furnishings in the church building are the altar, the baptismal font, and the pulpit. These are the most important furnishings because from them the sacred acts of liturgical action are done.
