Lesson 26: The Nature & Benefit of the Sacrement of the Altar

Confirmation Classes

Confirmation class is for students going into grades 6, 7 & 8 for the upcoming school year. We will have an informative meeting held at St. James on Saturdayday, September 19 at 9:00 am. During this time, you will learn what the class requirements are; what is expected of catechumens and parents; the class structure and schedule.

This year, as in the past, the sixth-grade class will be a Bible survey class. The class will be taught by Sandy Harry. Traditional confirmation for the seventh and eighth grades will be taught by Pastor Erdman.

Confirmation Class

Held at St. James with the classes beginning at 9:00 a.m. These classes are in person or if you are not able to attend, the 7th and 8th grade class will be livestreamed and posted on St. James's Facebook page.

1. Seventh and eighth grade:The lesson is Lesson 26: The Nature and Benefit of the Sacrament of the Altar (pgs. 105-108) in your workbook. To help with that, refer to Luther's Small Catechism: pgs. 322-334, ques. 348-363. The memory work for this lesson can be found on the Confirmation page.

Continue to work on "Sermon Studies" either in person worship or through Facebook streaming. The form can be found on the Confirmation page.

2. Sixth grade: Sandy Harry will be at St. James on Saturday for teaching. If you are not attending, continue to work on the Ten Commandments and the Apostles' Creed memory work found in Luther's Small Catechism (pgs. 13-18).
